Dalam sistem nombor, nombor 12 dikira sebagai nombor pelengkap...sebagai contoh 12 bulan, 12 jam, 12 Tuhan Olympusn seterusnya...manakala nombor 13 di kira nombor yang berlawanan dengan nombor pelengkap tadi...dengan anggapan yang demikian maka nombor 13 dianggap pembawa nasib yang buruk... Budaya Barat pun ada kepercayaan karut marut dia...terpulang pada diri masing-masing...kat bawah nie adalah bulan2 dimana  Friday the 13th berlaku dan sekadar tuk makluman sahaja:  January 2012, April 2012, dan July 2012.
